Social Run and Treasure Hunt 2018Wirral CCC Editor

Sunday 22nd April 2018

This year’s event coincided with the “National Drive it Day” and started at the
Port Sunlight Garden Centre with 11 classic cars taking part. There was a sharp
shower at the start which necessitated the putting up of hoods on the convertibles.

The weather then picked and after solving several clues it was a trip to Birkenhead
park where clues there were clues to be solved at the Visitor Centre and the Cricket
Club.  Then it was off to Wallasey Town Hall taking, then taking in the sea views off
New Brighton on there way to the final destination Hoylake Station after a leisurely
drive through Moreton, Meols and Hoylake.

Now Mentally and physically drained it was off  to the Cottage Loaf for much needed
watering and refreshments.  There was only one mechanical problem on the day but they
managed to get the car home and it was nice to see them later for lunch.
